Khorshid Alkozay is an experienced teacher and professional trainer with more than 15 years of experience teaching at a public university and over a decade leading human development training programs across Afghanistan. She has dedicated her career to curriculum development, gender and development training, and capacity building. Her ability to design and deliver effective educational programs has played a major role in literacy promotion and professional development.

Throughout her career, she has extensive experience in teaching, management, and human development projects. As a lecturer at Balkh University, she monitored academic programs, managed communication between students and administration, actively contributed to securing financial resources, maintained alumni relations, and represented the university in public affairs—demonstrating strong commitment to academic growth and development.

In addition, she served as a Master Teacher Trainer at the Afghanistan Studies Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, working closely with school administrators to design teacher training, evaluate student learning, and improve curriculum effectiveness.

Her expertise also extends to adult education and literacy, and she served as a lead trainer for USAID’s Literacy Community Empowerment Program. In that role, she provided basic education to adults and out-of-school youth, strengthened reading, writing, and problem-solving skills, and conducted research to improve program outcomes.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pashto Literature from Kabul University. Her leadership, adaptability, and professional relationship-building skills have enabled her to work effectively under pressure and create positive learning environments. She remains a strong voice for education, human development, and gender equality, striving to provide learners and teachers with the tools they need to succeed. Her commitment to training, curriculum development, and educational reform has had lasting impact on Afghanistan and beyond.
