Duration: 6 Months
Teaching Medium: English, Dari & Pashto
At this level, the focus is on sparking children’s interest and introducing basic Farsi concepts. Students learn essential words through songs, proverbs, and interactive storytelling. Greater attention is given to listening and speaking skills, and students learn simple greetings, numbers, and colors. Activities are designed through games and role-play so children become familiar with the language and build confidence.
The goal at this stage is to strengthen reading and writing skills. Students become familiar with Farsi script and basic grammar rules, such as noun–adjective agreement and verb conjugation. Vocabulary expands through themed units such as family and school. Reading sessions help broaden understanding, and writing practice strengthens sentence-building skills. Class projects such as a personal journal or creating a family tree provide practical use of skills.
At this stage, the focus is to expand students’ language skills and cultural knowledge. They learn intermediate grammar topics and read more complex materials such as stories and poems, which helps them become familiar with Farsi culture. Reading discussions and cultural projects such as researching Afghan folklore or historical figures, create the foundation for deeper understanding.
In this final stage, students are prepared to use Farsi fluently. The curriculum practices advanced grammar and styles so students can write complex texts and analyze different literary genres such as novels and essays. Critical thinking skills are strengthened through modern media and current issues. Projects such as research essays and debates prepare students to present their opinions clearly. After completion, students are ready for academic and professional goals and will have strong language and cultural skills.
The overall goal of this curriculum is for students to speak and write Farsi fluently, use the language in both formal and informal contexts, and appreciate Farsi culture. This curriculum prepares students for personal growth as well as future academic or professional opportunities.
