The Mathematics Mastery curriculum focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation and gradually strengthening advanced skills according to students’ developmental level.
At younger ages, the program uses real-life experiences, hands-on tools, and everyday examples to build foundational understanding of numbers, shapes, and patterns. As students progress to middle and higher levels, the approach gradually shifts toward abstract reasoning and introduces advanced topics such as algebra, geometry, and statistics.
This mastery-based curriculum aims for deep understanding—not memorizing without meaning. It encourages students to explore multiple solutions and test different strategies. Continuous assessment and practice ensure students fully understand concepts before moving forward. It also supports individualized learning pace and builds confidence, flexible thinking, and conceptual mastery.
The purpose is to develop independent thinkers who can solve complex problems through critical thinking and creativity.

Guide students from foundational numeracy to advanced mathematical reasoning—building confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills needed for academic success and everyday life.
At Kawun School, we are proud of our teachers’ compassion, experience, and expertise. All teachers are educated Afghan women with at least a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related fields. They have in-person and online teaching experience and a strong commitment to supporting Afghan children abroad with strong math and critical-thinking skills.
Teachers are carefully selected to motivate students across different ages and create online classes that are interactive, supportive, and culturally grounded. Lessons are age-appropriate, clear, and connected to real life, combining modern teaching methods with practical problem-solving.
Due to Afghanistan’s current security situation, we keep teacher identities confidential to protect them and allow them to continue teaching safely.
We assure parents that every teacher is carefully evaluated, trained in child-centered online teaching, and continuously assessed for quality and professionalism. By enrolling your child, you not only provide a unique opportunity to learn mother tongue, math, and Quranic studies from native educators—you also support educated Afghan women who remain committed to serving their communities despite hardship.
Through this meaningful connection, Afghan children abroad gain strong math skills while also strengthening cultural identity, resilience, and pride in their roots.
